At USA Trailer Depot, we want every customer to have clear and accurate information before purchasing a trailer from our online store. Because trailers are large, specialized products that may require transportation and preparation before delivery, our return and refund procedures are designed to be transparent and fair.
Please review this policy carefully before placing an order.
1. Return Eligibility
Customers may request a return for an eligible trailer by contacting USA Trailer Depot within 14 calendar days of delivery.
To qualify for a return, the trailer must:
- Be unused;
- Be in the same condition in which it was delivered;
- Not have been modified, altered, customized, or damaged after delivery;
- Not have been registered, titled, or put into regular use where applicable;
- Include all original components, accessories, documentation, keys, and equipment supplied with the trailer;
- Be returned with its original identifying information and applicable documentation.
All returns require prior written authorization from USA Trailer Depot.
Do not ship or transport a trailer back to us without receiving return authorization first.
2. Trailer Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers should carefully inspect their trailer immediately upon delivery.
Please check for:
- Visible transportation damage;
- Missing accessories or components;
- Incorrect trailer model;
- Significant physical damage;
- Other obvious discrepancies between the order and the delivered trailer.
Customers should photograph any visible damage before or during delivery and notify the carrier and USA Trailer Depot as soon as possible.
If the trailer arrives damaged, please contact us promptly so that we can determine the appropriate next steps.
3. Non-Returnable or Restricted Items
Certain trailers may not be eligible for return because of their nature, customization, preparation, registration, or use.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following may be non-returnable:
- Custom-built trailers;
- Special-order trailers;
- Personalized trailers;
- Modified trailers;
- Trailers that have been used;
- Trailers that have been registered or titled;
- Trailers with damage caused after delivery;
- Trailers missing original equipment or documentation;
- Trailers altered by the customer or a third party;
- Trailers that have been loaded, towed, or placed into commercial or personal service.
If a product is subject to special return restrictions, those restrictions will be disclosed before purchase whenever applicable.
4. Return Request Procedure
To request a return, contact USA Trailer Depot and provide:
- Customer name;
- Order number;
- Date of purchase;
- Delivery date;
- Trailer make and model;
- Reason for the return;
- Photographs of the trailer, where applicable;
- Any relevant documentation.
After receiving the request, we will review the circumstances and determine whether the trailer qualifies for return.
If approved, we will provide return instructions and the applicable return destination.
5. Return Shipping and Transportation Costs
Unless the return is caused by an error on the part of USA Trailer Depot or the trailer is confirmed to have arrived damaged or defective, the customer may be responsible for return transportation and related shipping costs.
Because trailers are oversized products, return transportation can be significantly more expensive than standard parcel shipping.
Customers should contact USA Trailer Depot before arranging transportation.
We will provide the applicable return instructions after the return has been approved.
6. Returns Due to Customer Preference
If a customer changes their mind, orders the wrong trailer, no longer needs the trailer, or otherwise requests a return for reasons unrelated to a defect, damage, or error by USA Trailer Depot, the return may be subject to:
- Return transportation costs;
- Applicable handling costs;
- Applicable restocking charges;
- Inspection costs where reasonably necessary;
- Any other disclosed costs associated with processing the return.
Any applicable charges will be communicated to the customer before the return is finalized.
7. Defective or Incorrect Trailers
If you receive a trailer that is materially defective, significantly damaged during transportation, or materially different from the trailer ordered, contact USA Trailer Depot promptly.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer an appropriate remedy, which may include:
- Repair;
- Replacement;
- Replacement parts;
- Return and refund;
- Another mutually agreed resolution.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and extent of the issue.
8. Damage During Delivery
If your trailer arrives with visible transportation damage:
- Photograph the trailer and the damage;
- Document the condition of the trailer;
- Notify the delivery carrier where appropriate;
- Contact USA Trailer Depot promptly;
- Provide your order number and photographs.
Do not attempt significant repairs before contacting us unless necessary to prevent immediate additional damage or for safety reasons.
9. Refund Eligibility
Once an authorized returned trailer has been received and inspected, USA Trailer Depot will determine whether the return qualifies for a refund.
The trailer must satisfy the applicable return conditions described in this policy.
If the trailer is returned in a condition that does not meet the return requirements, we may reduce or deny the refund where permitted by applicable law.
10. Refund Processing Time
Once an approved return has been received and inspected, eligible refunds will generally be processed within 7 business days.
After we issue the refund, the time required for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank, credit-card provider, payment processor, or other financial institution.
